During a time of the year when energy levels are high for consumers, many businesses tend to shut down. There is a reluctance to start something new or have any expenses. Unfortunately I see a lot of businesses operating like a parent trying to save for Christmas presents. Your business should not have the same behavior as consumers. Phrases like “It is not a good time right now” and “I just don’t have the budget for marketing during the holidays” are excuses that are holding you back.

Consumers are more active now than at any time of the year. During this time consumers are shopping, sharing photos, emailing holiday plans, and traveling all over the country. Where are these activities taking place? They are all happening millions of times a day on mobile devices.

Businesses should embrace this time of the year. There should not be decisions to freeze all spending and “just wait to do something next year.”
