COLOR SOUTHERN ILLINOIS PINK

October kicks of Breast Cancer Awareness month and many functions and events dedicated to getting women to do self-breast examinations and check-ups. One of those events is the Color Southern Illinois Pink campaign that is placing a 3 ft by 6 ft pink ribbon in your yard at your home or business. Half of the proceeds goes towards the American Cancer Society here in Southern Illinois. The team at Southern Illinois Resurfacing wanted to use one of their new products in a way to help raise awareness for a great cause and pay tribute to those in their family that have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

1 out of every 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer.

40,290 women in the U.S. are expected to die in 2015 from breast cancer.

85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer.

Take the time and TALK with those that you love about getting an exam and self-examinations. Every time you see a PINK RIBBON ask yourself if you have talked to your MOTHER, WIFE, DAUGHTER, or FRIEND about breast cancer.
